Giving Directions

Write down simple directions using left, right, in front of and behind to find a spot.

First answer the question and then write your own directions for the next person to follow.


Start by the tree in front of the police station. Go to the right for a few steps and turn left. Go to the next street and turn right. Stop at the entrance of the building. Where are you?

Multiplication Chain


This week we learnt a little bit about multiplications. 

See if the first pupil on this blog entry can solve the multiplication problem at the end of this entry and write their own multiplication problem in the comment box.

The next person that comes onto the blog needs to solve the problem of the previous pupil and write another problem.

By doing this we will be creating a problem and answer chain!

Discovery Dome Matariki

The Science Alive Discovery Dome Matariki programme helped our classes to understand a significant time in the Māori calendar and learn traditional Māori Starlore (Tātai Arorangi).
Our students were introduced to the stars and important information about creation, the seasons, food harvesting and navigation.
